Do you own a non-FAC Air Rifle, with or without “scope”, any calibre? If yes, then Field Target may be of interest to you. Field Target is a sport that has grown in popularity in recent years, it combines the outdoor field conditions of a rough shoot with the target precision of competition shooting.
There are currently two principal codes of practice in the UK for Field Target. That of the British Field Target Association, and that of the UK Association for Hunter Field Target, each working closely with the other. A lot of traditional rifle clubs have actually adopted and modified rules from each of these organisations to suit their own ranges and requirements.
To gauge what local interest and support there may be for Field Target the IOMAGA has acquired two “specialist” type of field targets with a view to holding a “come & try” session. If there is sufficient interest and support the Association will look to schedule regular meetings and competitions specifically for Field Target.
