No.1 July 2004
Starting with an apology is never really a good way to start but an apology is required to any of our members who were expecting the second of our trials for September’s CSFED Championships this weekend, 9th-11th July. We have been again overtaken by events very much as we were when the first trial, scheduled for the NSC last month, was cancelled.
On a brighter note plans are now well in hand for…
NSC Saturday 17th July is rehearsal day for the CSFED. The exercise for the day is to build a 24 FP air gun range in the small sports hall, primarily to see how long it takes to put it all together, and at the end, take it all down again! AG Trial for CSFED 2004, NSC Saturday, 17th July, signing on from 14:00, detail starting at 15:00. Event will be single course of fire, unlimited sighting shots + 60 shots to count, 5 shots per diagram, in 1h 45m, entry fee £5.00
We really need as many of our AG shooters as we can muster to test the facilities properly. So if you can possibly make it, please come along even if only for the skeet.
Another date for the diary is Royal Manx Agricultural Society’s Summer Show at Sulby, 13th/14th August. Hoping to build on last year, we are again looking to run an AG range, and generally “spread the word” about…
Isle of Man Shooting…the Island’s medal winning sport
This year’s effort has the added support of the IOM Shooting Council, and as ever, we will be looking for volunteers not only to assist in running the range, but look after and talk to visitors to our “pitch”. Please let the Committee know if, and when, you are available. Thank you.
